Add Redshift to Protecto

Follow these steps in Protecto UI

  1. Open the Protecto application URL and login with the user details shared with you.

  2. On the left navigation bar, go to 'Customize' -> 'Datasource'.

  3. Click the 'Add datasource' button and add the Redshift data source by filling up all the details, like:

    • Datasource Type:

    • Datasource Name: Identifier for the data source (Any name of your choice).

    • Username: Enter the user name created earlier (e.g. protecto_user).

    • Password: Enter the password for the user.

    • Port: Enter the port number.(e.g. 5439)

    • Host: Enter the host address (e.g. redshift-cluster-1.ciy9ildljime.us-east-1.redshift.amazonaws.com).

    • Database Name: Enter the database name on which the scan should be performed.

Once all the above steps are done, Protecto will start analyzing the Redshift data and provide insights in few hours.
