# Add Redshift to Protecto

1. Open the Protecto application URL and login with the user details shared with you.  
2. On the left navigation bar, go to 'Customize' -> 'Datasource'.  \

3. Click the 'Add datasource' button and add the Redshift data source by filling up all the details, like:
   * Datasource Type:
   * Datasource Name: Identifier for the data source (Any name of your choice). 
   * Username: Enter the user name created earlier (e.g. protecto\_user). 
   * Password: Enter the password for the user. 
   * Port: Enter the port number.(e.g. 5439) 
   * Host: Enter the host address (e.g. redshift-cluster-1.ciy9ildljime.us-east-1.redshift.amazonaws.com).
   * Database Name: Enter the database name on which the scan should be performed. \

Once all the above steps are done, Protecto will start analyzing the Redshift data and provide insights in few hours.
